Investigation of Resonance-Enhanced High-Order Harmonics by Two-Component Laser-Produced Plasmas

چکیده
Resonance-enhanced harmonics from laser-produced plasma plumes are an interesting phenomenon, whose underlying mechanism is still under debate. In particular, it unclear whether the macroscopic dispersion properties of key factors for formation enhancement. To shed light on this problem, we perform experiments with two-component plasmas, in which one components (tin) known to be able generate enhanced and other component (lead) altering overall medium. We compare spectra pure tin tin/lead alloy. Depending driving wavelength, observe at around 47 or 44 nm both types plasmas. The two regions could attributed resonances singly-charged doubly-charged ions, respectively. Our results indicate that co-existence lead does not destroy presence plasma, seems suggest origin resonance-enhanced tin.

Generation of High Order Harmonics from H2+ Molecule Ion by Using Homogenous and Inhomogeneous Laser Fields
We solved one dimensional Schrodinger equation in a H2+ molecular environment by using 3 femtosecond homogeneous and nonhomogeneous laser fields. In homogeneous case, we found out that larger inter nuclear distances result in earlier ionization and also more instability in the wave packet. We deducted that the more the instability is, the more modulated the power spectrum will be. So, by choosi...
متن کاملGeneration of Low-Order Harmonics in Laser Ablation Plasmas
Third and fifth harmonics of a pulsed infrared laser (1064 nm) delivering pulses of nanosecond duration have been generated in the laser ablation plasmas of various materials including the metals Al and Fe and the highly ionic insulators MgF2 and NaCl. The harmonics were generated in a process triggered by laser ablation followed by frequencyup-conversion of the fundamental laser beam that prop...
متن کاملCoherent wake emission of high-order harmonics from overdense plasmas.
We present a new mechanism for high-order harmonic generation by reflection of a laser beam from an overdense plasma, efficient even at moderate laser intensities (down to Igamma2 approximately 4x10(15) W cm-2 microm2). In this mechanism, a transient phase matching between the electromagnetic field and plasma oscillations within a density gradient leads to the emission of harmonics up to the pl...

For future investigations of strongly coupled plasmas with electron temperature above the Fermi temperature, Ne near solid density and the electron-electron coupling paramter Γee > 1, there is a need for new diagnostics. This matter has such a low temperature, that emission spectroscopy is not possible and probing with visible or UV-light is also impossible as it cannot penetrate the plasma due...

Laser-produced plasmas are used for a variety of studies, relevant for both basic physics and applications, and are of course essential within the study of inertial confi nement approach to nuclear fusion. Because of this large interest, a large variety of diagnostics have been developed and are routinely used to unveil the physical processes at work during plasma process and laser-plasma inter...
